Workshops, Talks & Creative Experiences
La Ballena Astral will offer online and in-person experiences that bring together creativity, art, storytelling, nature, and meaningful reflection. These gatherings are designed for curious people who want to explore new ideas, reconnect with their creativity, and make something alongside others.
No public events are currently scheduled, but new workshops and experiences are being developed.

Online Creative Workshops
Approximately 1–2 hours
Interactive virtual gatherings where we explore a topic and create together from wherever we are. Each workshop may include guided instruction, creative prompts, conversation, and a hands-on activity. Future topics may explore poetry, journaling, creative writing, drawing, digital art, music, literature, botanical observation, nature, ecology, and creative living.
No previous artistic experience is required unless otherwise noted. Curiosity is always welcome.
Masterclasses
Approximately 45–90 minutes
Focused online sessions created to introduce a specific idea, practice, or creative approach.
Masterclasses may combine storytelling, instruction, demonstrations, reflection, and time for questions. Topics may include developing a creative practice, finding inspiration in nature, interdisciplinary creativity, journaling, poetry, artistic storytelling, and building a meaningful creative project or brand.
In-Person Workshops and Gatherings
Approximately 2–3 hours
Hands-on creative experiences offered locally in Greenville, North Carolina, or hosted by inviting organizations in other locations.
These gatherings may combine guided learning, conversation, nature observation, reflection, and a creative project. Depending on the event, participants might write, draw, journal, explore botanical or ecological themes, experiment with artistic techniques, or create something inspired by their surroundings.
Public events will be announced as they become available.
Private and Hosted Experiences
Organizations, community groups, schools, creative spaces, and event hosts may invite Marly to facilitate a workshop, masterclass, or creative talk.
Each experience can be adapted to the audience, setting, available time, and purpose of the gathering. In-person engagements outside Greenville require advance planning with the hosting organization.
